A clothbound set of the original 60 mail order lessons of the Tarbell Course in Magic. Three volumes. Illustrated profusely. Rubber stamps and ownership signatures to flyleaf of volume one, including the note that the books were purchased from L.L. Ireland, the noted Chicago magic dealer, in 1941. Laid in is a clipped letter from Tarbell to Dr. Moershall, possibly a former owner of the set, regarding the use of a Thumb Tip for the burnt and restored Handkerchief trick. The signature has been trimmed away, leaving only the top of Tarbell's autograph visible on the bottom of the sheet. Toning to covers, else in good condition. Uncommon. Seller Inventory # RB9957
