About this title

SALAAM to OTIS DUNN, a one man Bounty Hunter Persona Grata.

An ex F.B.I. agent, Otis is a black man with a white sedan DeVille and an instinct for trapping. He hunts the men and women on the F.B.I.'s ten most wanted list. MANHUNTER is a suspenseful story set against the interplay of Southern Black/White clannishness. Nat Richards writes an artful, compelling tale that unfolds in the blitz of a hurricane. An invitation to a new kind of hero.

Otis Dunn aims for Vernell Henderson, but Vernell is protected by his girlfriend Lisa who would do anything for him. He finds Vernell's sister Ann, who has had two nervous breakdowns in five years, and finally Julia Yarborough ... white aristocratic mother of John Yarborough who is raising her curly haired grandson by black Juanita Moragne. And just as if Otis didn't have enough women trouble, crowded graves keep being dug up all over town.

This Otis Dunn novel is the first of a series. In the second. Otis pursues the President of the Republic of Black America, wanted for the murder of an F.B.I. agent. The R.B.A. Headquarters are in Georgia and their purpose is to turn the South into a separate nation of blacks.
