Book Description SOUTHWEST PRESS, DALLAS, 1932. HARDCOVER. Book Condition: FAIR. NO JACKET. 1ST EDITION. Southwest Press, Dallas, 1932. Hardcover. Book Condition: FAIR. First Edition. Author was a Texas Ranger, cattle driver, and one of the pioneers of Corpus Christi, Texas. These are his memoirs. Edited by Lilith Lorraine. The memoirs contain information on the lawlessness of the Texas borderlands. Author was born in 1851. After the memoirs which end on page 153, there are two short sections in the back of the book titled " Official Trail Names Adopted" by The Committiee on Resolutions of the Old Trail Drivers Association and "Official Trail Names" written by George Saunders, President Old Trail Drivers' Association. Six-Guns #650, Adams says this book is "scarce." Published for the author by the Southwest Press. Original green cloth binding with red lettering. Green cloth is uneven in color due to moisture damage to lower front, spine and much or the back boards and spine lettering is quite faded. Rubbing to spine, boards very slightly bowed. Age spotting to some minor water damage to first several pages. Otherwise text and plates clean and overall book interior in good shape. From the personal collection of Glenn Harding.
