124 pages. Hardcover: H 20.5cm x L 13.75cm. Handsome decorative binding in full brown leather with embossed decoration, gilt tooling, raised spine bands and all edges gilt. Surface scuffing along joints and at spine ends and on bands, slightly beveled edges with dark stain at top corner of front board and two smaller stains at top of rear board, bottom corner of front board worn, gilt decoration on front and rear boards remains vibrant as is gilt spine lettering. Features to lengthy poems by Samuel Rogers and Thomas Campbell, two frontispiece portraits of the authors, and four full page engraved illustrations by R.A. Turner. Moderate browning does occur to interior leaves. An attractive leather-bound book in very good condition for those interested in Decorative Bindings or nineteenth century poetry.
