Fifteenth edition. 12mo. (20 cm.) [4]iii-xxviii, 1-171p. Green blind stamped cloth with gilt decorations on front cover and spine. Born in Plymouth, MA in 1827, Lizzie Doten was a Boston spiritualist trance medium whose verse claims to be inspired by Shakespeare, Burns, Poe, and other poets of the past. She publisheld two collections of her poetry: POEMS FROM THE INNER LIFE (1963) AND POEMS OF PROGRESS (1973). Doten died in 1913. Wear to extremities, top & bottom of spine just starting to fray, pages slightly browned, else very good, with bright gilt on front cover/ No jacket. Bookseller Inventory # 04265
