?ód?: CBWA Zach?ta, 1990. Quarto (29.5 × 21 cm). Original decorative side-stapled card wrappers with four leaves of typescript and xeroxed illustrations to rectos only. Very good. An artist book (no. 11 of 40) by the multi-media artist and curator Antoni Miko?ajczyk (1939-2000), with two xeroxed illustrations and a theoretical text, written by the artist in connection with the Utopia i Rzeczywisto?? [Utopia and Reality] exhibition which he curated at Galeria Wschodnia, ?ód? in 1987. The exhibition featured over two dozen artists including major figures such as Sol Lewitt, Carl Andre, and Dorá Maurer as well as Miko?ajczyk himself. A graduate of the Fine Arts University in Toru?, Miko?ajczyk started work in painting and photography, eventually joining the famous Film Form Workshop (1970-1977) in ?ód? His most famous works included sculptural light installations, which he discusses in this text. Concerned with preserving and theorizing the independent art movement in Poland during the Martial Law, in 1982 he founded Punkt Konsultacyjny Sztuki [Art consultation point], a space for artistic debate and archiving held in his own studio. Dated 1990, this item seems to be one of the last theoretical publications of the Punkt. As of April 2024 not in KVK, OCLC. Seller Inventory # 52437
