This VG quality book was copyrighted in 1921 and published by the Reilly & Lee Company; it is 7-5/8" tall with 237 numbered pages of text. It is a format #2, as per Mattson & Davis. This book--deep red cloth binding with black lettering--is square, very clean, free of edge dings with both lower corners lightly bumped; the head and heel of the spine are also bumped, with no damage. The bottom edges have virtually no wear. The spine is not faded and is clean and the lettering is intact and not damaged. The lettering on the front panel is completely intact and not damaged. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The text paper is moderately toned and more heavily so around the edges of the paper; the pages are a bit stiff but not at all brittle. There are no illustrations. Both hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The top edge of the FFEP is scuffed where an inked name has be mostly erased. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. There is no series list in the book. The VG jacket is in one piece and is mildly soiled. It has tiny chips at both upper corners and small chips at the top and bottom of the rear gutter. And there is a 1" tear with creases at the top of the rear fold. The rear flap lists the first seventeen books in this series, all that were published through 1934.
