Movie Director Erich Von Stroheim's first novel of gypsy life which he hoped would provide the basis for a film. A splendid copy bound in finely woven red cloth stamped brightly in gilt on the front boards and the spine. Very clean and tight thoughtout; appears unread. In the scarce, striking pictorial dustjacket by HB with a touch of edge rubbing, light wear and a few little tears to the top and bottom of the spine ends and the corners. With the original price of $2.50 at the top of the inside front flap of the dustjacket. Scarce in dustjacket.
