Publisher's light tan cloth with titles blocked in grey and gilt to spine, tinted top edge, typographical dust-jacket. Edges toned, ink name to flyleaf, jacket with some chips and tears, rear panel toned, clipped and re-priced by the publisher at 12/6. A very good copy of a landmark title. First published in 1937, and described as 'the chanson de gestes of the. Welsh Cockney in the Great War.'
