First American edition (the British version being published in 1932). Hardcover. A bump on the top edge of the pages near the spine, neat small ownership signature on the front free endpaper, otherwise very good in good/fair price-clipped dustjacket with numerous small professionally closed tears, and the spine background faded from yellow to beige (not affecting the black lettering). A nice clean copy of an important work (many went into lending institutions and are compromised).
