Special limited edition of this exhibition catalogue: 10 crosshatched graphite drawings by Brach (1924?2007), founding dean of the School of Art at the California Institute of the Arts. The volume opens with introductions by Terry Melton and the artist; it was designed, composed, printed, and bound by Meriden-Stinehour Press in Vermont. => An original lithograph is laid into the back pastedown pocket: "Sky Horses," numbered copy 5 out of 50, signed by Brach. The volume is housed in a leather portfolio blind-tooled with the artist's signature. Provenance: This copy is inscribed on the front free endpaper by the artist: "For Judith & Gus, Happy Trails," bearing the date 10 March 1990. Oblong 8vo (25.4 cm, 10"). [16] pp.; illus. Publisher's sand-colored variegated linen, front cover with artist's name stamped in black; boards very slightly cocked, leather portfolio showing minimal edge wear.
