This is an almost very good hardcover in a very good dust jacket. Completely clean inside and out. The top of the spine and top right corner bumped, this is faintly visible on the inside top center line or gutter of some pages, and the top corners of pages. The dust jacket has a repair to one edge of the front flap. Text in Slovak with summaries in English, German and Russian at the end. Pavel Sochán (1862- 1941) was a Slovak ethnographer, photographer, writer and playwright . He is best known for his ethnographic photographs of Slovak people, costumes, architecture, etc. Illustrated throughout with 253 photographs reproduced in sepia. 12" high X 10" wide, 229 pages.
