Women consistently remain a minority of participants in peace building projects; they receive less attention than men in peace building policies; and gender analysis rarely informs peace building strategies. This is despite the many Uni ted Nat ions and Europe an Commission resolutions which, for more than a decade, have criticized such marginalization and called for gender issues and women's needs to be given more serious attention in all policies relating to conflict and peace. This edited book contains chapters, as chapter one is highlighting on gender and peace education and other chapters are also deals with different aspects of gender and peace education. This book is helpful for the students, teachers, researchers in the field of peace education and gender education also. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- Dr. Lokanath Mishra was born in 1970 in India. He is M. Sc in Mathematics, M. A in Economics , M. Ed, Ph.D. in Education and Continuing D.Litt in Peace Education. He is presently working as Associate Professor in Education, Mizoram University, Aizawl (A Central University) and previously worked as principal in Vivek College of Education Bijnor, received senior fellow from ICSSR, New Delhi. He is a Ph.D. guide in the Faculty of Education, Tertiary Education Commission; Mauritius. He founded Peace Education and Development: An International Journal in 2013 as it's Editor-in-Chief. He is Chief Editor of International Journal of Education and Research, a member of editorial board of different journals. His 15 books, more than 50 papers on the different themes on education and peace have already been published, released from USA, Germany and UK.
