Webling (1871-1949) English-born Canadian actress and author who wrote novels, biographies, essays, stage adaptations and various articles, most noted for her 1927 adaptation of the Mary Shelley novel Frankenstein, the family home in London was a lively literary salon with portraits of Ruskin, Wilde, Ellen Terry etc; the book recounts her many experiences and performances across Canada ; befriended 'Pauline Johnson' the book includes a reprinting of a short Johnson poem entitled 'To Peggy'.
