Stapled gloss softcover issued in conjunction with The Centenary Exhibition at Goldsmiths Hall, Long from October 14 to 25, 1958, under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, KG, illustrating the development of high precision timekeeping over the last 100 years from the days of the pendulum clock to the atomic clock, the speaking clock and radio time signals. Another section of the exhibition shows examples of the very wide range of clocks, watches and other timekeeping mechanisms and their parts, produced by the Horological Industry, and the third section is devoted to antique pieces from the Royal Collection and over half of the celebrated Ilbert Collection of clocks and watches, never before show to the public in such numbers. Book is tight, clean and unmarked with a shallow 1" horizontal crease to front cover near center of spine side, affecting only the first few leaves inside at the gutter margin. Media mail included.
