About this Item

Pages clean except for a prior owner's label at the front endpaper, a name at the second (blank) page, some spotting that looks like pressed-leaf residue at the final endpapers, toning in the margins throughout and an occasional fingerprint here and there near the page edges. Binding is square and secure, full cloth hard cover somewhat darkened at the spine and showing small patches of finish loss at all panels, rub-through at corners and some fraying at spine ends, and some dimming of the gilt-relief titles at front and spine, otherwise sound and charming. 380pp; 150 engravings.
