Contents include various short stories submitted, new styles of clothes and fashion for children and adults, hair styles (the double chignon featured on page 225), crochet patterns, "Design for segar-case worked upon leather," embroidery, sewing and embellishments, tips on health, horticulture, family pastime activities, and toilet, poetry, music, and book reviews. 472 pp with second contents to rear (missing a page). Previous owner's name to FFEP, light age-tanning, light spotting to endpapers. Shelfwear, edges and spinecaps quite rubbed and mostly worn through, a .5" peeled up flap to front board on spine. Some loose pages that protrude, with little chips and tears. Gilt lettering debossed to spine, half-bound in a very deep bluegreen leather with marbled boards. Many wonderful illustrations, delicate and detailed, six in full color. A beautiful and fascinating well-loved volume, especially interesting to any student of history and culture!.
