Al titolo ritratto del Petrarca coronato d'alloro, e bella mappa della regione di Avignone su doppia pagina; il testo � racchiuso dal commento in finissimo corsivo assai minuto. Le opere sono precedute oltre che dalla prefazione con dedica ad Agostino Doria del Vellutello, da indici, dalle Vite di Petrarca e di Laura. Quinta edizione delle opere petrarchesche con commento del Vellutello, pubblicato per la prima volta nel 1525; l'editore e letterato di origini lucchesi divise il Canzoniere petrarchesco in tre parti, oltre ai Trionfi; il suo nome figura nel colophon come promotore dell'edizione. "Bella e ben corretta edizione" (Marsand). Buon esemplare, appartenuto a ferrarese Ippolito Pigna, nipote del Cardinale Luigi d'Este. La sua firma di possesso nel margine inferiore del titolo compare in altri volumi noti (piccoli lavori di tarlo restaurati ai primi fogli). Adams P-804.
