About this Item

8vo hardcover. Red boards with title in white on spine in an appropriately lurid illustrated dust wrapper. Later printing 1965. Very Good in a VG DW/: Text block edges slightly soiled with some light damp-staining to bottom edge rear inside cover; text itself clean, bright & unmarked. DW exhibits some damp-staining to rear panel & 1" scrape/scuff to author's photo; spine ends bumped with miniscule chips top & bottom; 1/4" closed tear to top right edge front panel and some rubbing. 442pp. Spanish translation of Grace Metalious' famously infamous first novel that caused quite a stir when published in 1956. The book first became a movie in 1957, followed in 1965 by the popular television series starring the young Ryan O'Neal, Barbara Parkins, Dorothy Malone as Constance McKenzie and Mia Farrow as Allison McKenzie. A very attractive copy. #90011. Bookseller Inventory # ABE-5682496555
