About the Author: Prof. S.P. Vyas has 17 years of teaching experience of both U.G. and P.G. levels. He has worked as Manager. R & D in Lupin Laboratories, Aurangabad for a period of one year. Prof. Vyas did his Post Doctoral at the School of Pharmacy, University of London under the supervision of Prof. G. Gregoriadis. He has supervised 12 Ph.D. and 40 M. Pharm. scholars. He has around 115 research publications to his credit published in international and national journals. He has been awarded Pt. Lajja Shankar Jha award for excellence in research in Engineering and Technology by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. He is a well known academician and leading scientist of international repute. He has delivered invited lectures, key note addresses and chaired many sessions in several National and International Conference and Symposias in India and abroad. Dr. Vyas has been the principal investigator in major research projects sponsored by HRD. Govt. of India and UGC. He has written many review articles as well as book chapters. His research interest extends from Novel Drug Systems to process development and molecular basis of drug targeting. He is a member of many learned societies and is on the editorial board of journals of repute. Prof. V.K. Dixit has over 25 years of teaching experience. He is conducting research involving tissue culture. He has established a tissue culture laboratory in the department. Prof. Dixit has supervised 20 Ph.D. and about 35 M. Pharm. scholars. He has over 80 publications in various journals of repute. He has also chaired sessions and delivered special lectures in a number of symposia/seminars. He is well known academician and educationist. He is member of many learned societies. Presently, he is the Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Science, Sagar and is associated with various administrative functions, such as Director Collegeate Development Council and Proctor of the University. Prof. Dixit is also the Secretary of The Indian Society of Pharmacognosy, and is a member of AICTE and PCI.
