vi, 338; vi, 352; vi, 309; vi, 317; vi, 427. An extensive account of English, French, Spanish, Dutch and other countries' activities both in Asia and in North and South America, with part of volume three and all of the subsequent volumes devoted to recounting the discovery, exploration and settlement of North and South America. This includes the Caribbean, the east coast of the United States including the colonies, as well as eastern Canada. Volume six contains an extensive account of the Revolutionary War, as well as a large index. All are EX-LIBRARY in FAIR/GOOD condition. Usual library bookplates, interior markings and exterior call numbers present. Title pages and last pages of text with library markings in small punched out dots. With the exception of volume 5, all have their outer hinges repaired with tape, as well as being reinforced along the interior hinges with tape. Volume 5's covers are attached but very weak. Minor to moderate scuffing to the boards, heavier along the extremities. Minor soiling and a few minor stains to the covers. Spines are all rather scuffed and worn, with volume 3 completely covered in library binding tape. Interiors are solid with minor scattered soiling and foxing, as well as general minor toning to the pages. Ownership signatures present. Minor pencil underlining to the last few pages of volume 6, with two short underlines in blue pencil in volume 3. Sabin 68090. Bookseller Inventory # 003676
