First edition appeared in 1944. Some b/w drawings assist the b/w photographs. Some finished work in colour. Cond : Boards are blue with black lettering. End-papers are white. D.J. is gold coloured with blue lettering. Front cover photo features a rose, a portrait and some colours on a palette. Volume is tight, bright, square and clean. D.J. is price clipped, with wear at top edge. Small piece missing from back upper corner. Almost collectible !
