About the Author:

John A. Abatecola is a multi-talented and versatile individual. He was born and raised in East Providence, Rhode Island and benefited from a well rounded New England education. Many of his fictitious characters are a direct result of interesting traits from life long friends. Mr. Abatecola proudly served his Country in the United States Army highlighted with a tour of duty in the Korean War.

In 1970 he owned and managed a poker parlor in downtown San Diego, resulting in his second novel titled, "Fourth Avenue Sting." The book is based on the lives and tribulations of individuals associated with car room gambling.

In recent years, Mr. Abatecola has been recognized as one of the top pizza authorities in the country. The 2 time "Pizza Festiva" winner is an innovator and a Master Pizzaiolo.

He was featured on the cover of "Pizza Today" as well as winning the title of "Best Pizza in America" on the "Mike and Maty Show" on ABC national television.

His expertise on pizza has inspired Mr. Abatecola to write anothe book titled, "Pizza, The Real Story" which was published in 2000.

The former Locheed engineer and program manager is currently writing a novel based on the Korean War and aerospace experiences.
