S first edition of the limited edition of 400 copies . 125 pp. Nice frontispiece map, numerous portraits and plates, many in color, and two foldout panoramas). This is printed by Jack W. Stauffacher of The Greenwood Press. Sawkins (1806-1878) was an Anglo-American geologist and amateur explorer. He visited Hawaii as a tourist in the early 1850s. A beautiful book.
