Title: The Pilgrim Fathers: Their Significance in ...

Publisher: Plimoth Plantation, Plymouth, MA

Publication Date: 1951

Binding: Paperback

Description:

Small 4to. Stiff green wrappers. 21pp. Very good. Slightest bit of edgewear -- almost a near fine. Second, revised edition of this address first published by the Merrymount Press in 1937. This lovely copy bears a choice autograph addition: Tipped inside the front wrapper is a bold signature in blue fountain pen on the verso of a color postcard (never addressed or posted) of Morison and his wife standing in the glorious seaside woods near their Maine residence. Morison (1887-1976) was a naval officer famed as a historian; among his many works are "Admiral of the Ocean Sea: A Life of Christopher Columbus" and "John Paul Jones: A Sailor's Biography," both of which won Pulitzer prizes.
