'How To Draw #50'. circa.1954. 31 pages; drawings, some in color; illustrated paper wrapper (10 1/4 x 13 3/4 inch). An instructional booklet on how to draw pin-up models by one of the leading artists in the field. Earl MacPherson (1910-1993) was from Oklahoma and painted in California graduating from the Chouinard School of Art and painted for Earl Carroll Girls in Los Angeles and later Brown & Bigelow, the major publisher of Pin-Up Calendars. He was creator of the 'Artist's Sketch Pad' style. This booklet was his most famous publication which had great influence with later pin-up painters. Printed inscription by Walter Lord.
