Very nice, clean book with a textural front cover. Top edge is brightly gilded with deckled page edges at other sides. Printed on heavy paper and very tightly bound wih no cracking to hinges. Book is comprised of a compilation of addresses given to the Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce in 1928 and 1929. Many topics covered -- among them are: iron, steel, petroleum, glass, natural gas, cork , aluminum, public utilities, electricity, food preservaiton, air brakes and safety devices, all of which were Pittsburgh businesses. Other topics include waterways, banking, labor unions, religious life in Pittsburgh, steam railways, higher education, and the arts.
