Book is square and securely bound. ; B&W Photographs and Designs; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 76 pages; This work was originally published in the Transactions of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in 1885. This was the ownership copy of famed horticulturalist John Caspar Wister, who signed and dated (1906) this on the front pastedown. On the ffep there is the stamp of the Scott Foundation at Swarthmore in Pennsylvania. Wister was longtime Director of the Scott Arboretum.
