Folio (33 x 23cm). Latin edition edited by Hieronymus Gemusaeus, with a dated 1542 preface. [48],392ff. The last leaf mis-numbered 402. Woodcut capitals.With a minor unobtrusive inner-margin single worm-track, well away from the text for the centre quarter of the volume, and some light unobtrusive upper-leaf damp-staining towards the end of the volume, but otherwise fresh & clean, the title with a few light smudges, front free-endpapr missing. Bound in 17th or 18th C full vellum with label,gilt, with some age toning. Vg. A comparatively scarce edition with only two British library locations, and not noted by Schweiger, Adams, BMC, Harwood, Moss or Clarke. Armorial bookplate of Richard Caton. Vg.
