About this title

Synopsis:

Life often feels like too much of a serious business, but you can find the perfect antidote in the humor and happiness that fill the pages of Poetry to Make You Smile.

This collection celebrates favorite poets of the past such as Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, and Wallace Stevens alongside the newer voices of e.e. cummings, Robert Bly, Louise Gluck, W.S. Merwin, Pablo Neruda, Galway Kinnell, Jane Kenyon, Dorianne Laux, Robert Hass, James Wright, and others.

You'll find poems that amuse you, and some that make you laugh out loud. Above all, they will surprise you and refresh your perspective, helping you to see life in a new light. Find a quiet spot, turn the pages of this beautiful book, and let the power of poetry raise your spirits.
