A bit of an oddity this one. Book is printed Specimen on the front cover and is presumably a pre publishing copy, Red embossed fabric on board covers with further red overwrap, gilt Specimen to front, some damp bleaching to front and back edges otherwise just looks a bit grubby. Glued to the inside of the back cover are two versions of what looks like the proposed spine. 460 numbered pages followed by a blank list of duplicate subscribers, 8 pages. Many of the pages are blank as if many of the illustrations have yet to be added. The illustrations both colour and b/w are all together at the front followed by the text. Binding is tight. Size 17.5 x 25.7 cm Never seen one like this before so must be scarce. Seller Inventory # 010218
