Bound in clean, 3/4 medium tan leather calf, with marbled boards, with still bright gilt-decorated spines in 6 compartments. Red and black, gilt-lettered spine labels. The medium-tan leather has slightly sunfaded on the spines to a warm and rich, light golden tan. The spines and the covers have very good, unworn edges, with all the covers being very well attached. Many illustrations, with a total of 4,276 very clean, crisp, and tightly bound pages. The books measure about 5 inches by 7-3/8 inches, and the 8 volumes fill about 12-1/2 inches of shelf space.
