Toledano Binding Style No. 7, in olive green balloon cloth, Kent's flying torchbearer device in golt to upper cover, gilt title and gilt ML device to spine; orange Kent endpapers; in orange-banded typographic 95-cent dust jacket, with 245 titles advertised on verso. Introduction by HERBERT GORMAN, James Joyce's first biographer. First published by Modern Library in 1928, this is an impression from 1936. Andes 145.1.1G. Toledano 145.1. Very good indeed in very good, lightly worn jacket. Contemp. 'Amherst College' POS in ink to front flyleaf. Heavy sun-fading restricted to spine panel and top of front panel of jacket; small open tear to bottom of rear panel. Binding square and tight; text otherwise clean, and bright.
