Tuft's College Engineering Drawing professor, D'Amato, used his writing and descriptive geometry abilities to create literature. In "Portraits of Ideas," he selected 51 important personalities (Kant, Hugo, Whitman, da Vinci, Beethoven, Aristotle, Plato, Wilde, Darwin, Galilei.) to provide an account of mere recitation of biographical facts in his own credo. The book also features fifty-one full page half-tone illustrations by Arturo Duccini. Arturo's inscription to Jerry is in pencil on the ffep. In very good condition with a shallow dings to the covers. The dust jacket is showing closed tears, tiny chips and light spotting around the edges. Pages are very clean and bright.
