A collection of sixteen quatrains, twelve of which were inscribed on sets of fruit serving trays-or roundel trenchers-by the author. Church is widely known for his writings on English ceramics. The printer, Bellows, is credited with identifying the Roman walls surrounding Gloucester and is reported to have taught himself French in order to print a French-English dictionary.
