About the Author:

After under-graduate studies at the Technical University of Munich, the University of Amsterdam, and the Instiute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore, Alexander Kanitz obtained his Ph.D. from the ETH Zurich. Since 2012, he is working as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Basel, studying RNA biology by computational means.
