About this Item

All items are in fine condition. The screenplay is 123 mechanically reproduced pages, including the interleaved revision pages, bound in a plain red binder with the text "Postman / Mamet" written on the spine. The probable origin on this copy is that it was sent by Mamet's agent to a prospective client. Mamet has signed this copy on the title-page with his rubberstamp image (chop). The t.l.s., dated December 8, 1995, mentions various projects Mamet is working on including a movie title "Bookworm" (unproduced?), a script on Meyer Lanksy for HBO, and his directing of Priestley's Dangerous Corner in New York. The letter is signed and Mamet has drawn at small self-potrait beneath it. The photograph is 3.5" x 5" and is signed. All three items are housed in a specially-made clamshell box with a paper label describing the contents. Bookseller Inventory # b12246
