Synopsis: In the third book of this trilogy, reporter Emerald Malloy returns to Hot Dish Heaven, located in a small, Scandinavian farm town in rural Minnesota, to attend the wedding of a close friend. The festivities, however, are quickly muddled by fraud and murder. While vacillating between steering clear of police business and searching out the criminals, Emme frequents a local pub, cheers on the high school hockey team, and dances and eats the night away at the New Year's Eve wedding reception at the local VFW. Of course, when her friends become more embroiled in the mystery, our reluctant but ever-curious slueth can't help but pursue the criminals. But does she really know who they are? And will she catch them before the man in her life gets fed up with her antics? It's Scandinavian humor at its best. Served up with side orders of hot dish, jell-O, and bar recipes, don't ya know.

From the Author: Jeanne Cooney grew up in Minnesota’s Red River Valley, where she recently returned after forty years. While in college, Jeanne’s undergraduate classes focused on writing, while her graduate studies were in public affairs. She then spent her professional life performing community and media outreach for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota. Now that she has retired from her “day job,” she concentrates on humorous writing and public speaking.
