About this Item

Nice book, tight and square, with some mild page edge soil. Jacket is pretty nice but the spine is uniformly sunned to kind of a grey color, but lettering is still easily readable. Bookseller Inventory # 34847

About this title

Synopsis:

This thriller involving murder and retribution is based on the billions of dollars of cocaine money that seeps through Southern Florida annually. At that price, even the most innocent people are going to get hurt. The authors have been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.

From the Back Cover:

A shadowy operator decides to put a lock on South Florida's cocaine trade, and Miami is suddenly transformed into a war zone as bloodily anarchic as Beirut. Chris Meadows has the bad luck to see an old girlfriend die in the crossfire. He has the worse luck, to see the face of her murderers. Because in a town as violent as Miami, a witness doesn't stand a chance - especially when the cops who ought to be protecting him are more interested in dangling him as live bait.
