(1835?) Title page and several pages of Contents listing missing; these start at page xiii. Identity of book is inferred from content and from spine label (Sumners Lectures). No date available on pages present, but with ownership inscription dated 1872. Half leather, gilt decoration, morocco label, marbled paper-covered boards. Condition: Boards and leather very worn, missing pages as detailed above, pages clean and bright, binding firm, child's pasted-in decoration to rear paste down (not recent, I suspect). Staining to pages 254-55 (perhaps from a since removed newspaper cutting?). Rear free end paper also missing.
