(1835?) Title page and several pages of Contents listing missing; these start at page xiii. Identity of book is inferred from content and from spine label (Sumners Lectures). No date available on pages present, but with ownership inscription dated 1872. Half leather, gilt decoration, morocco label, marbled paper-covered boards. Condition: Boards and leather very worn, missing pages as detailed above, pages clean and bright, binding firm, child's pasted-in decoration to rear paste down (not recent, I suspect). Staining to pages 254-55 (perhaps from a since removed newspaper cutting?). Rear free end paper also missing. Seller Inventory # 2044

Standard shipping terms:

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs quoted are for books weighing up to 2 Kg (4.48 lb) when packed. If your book order is heavier than this, I may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. NOTE that I charge the same shipping cost to all EU countries, but the ABE system makes this rather difficult to set up; if you are ordering from an EU country not on the shipping costs list and so are charged the general International postage rate, I will refund the difference when processing your order. TAX on orders from the EU: our recent departure from the EU has left muddle and confusion for sellers and customers alike. For items costing more than 22 Euros VAT will have to be paid by the customer on receipt of the order, and possibly a handling fee levied by your postal service.
