The influence of the succeeding volumes of Prejudices on contemporary thought, both here and abroad, has been enormous. This volume will sustain and increase that influence. " Book is fine with slight bumps to spine end's. Orange stain still in evidence at top of tent block. Jacket is very good with chipping to bottom edge, top has larger chips to top of spine and about 2"x1/8' to front near spine. H.l. Menchen was a journalist, satirist, essayist and critic of American life and culture. He was against war and a liberal of the time. He was particularly critical of bigotry, Christian Fundamentalism, anti-intellectualism, Creationism, Organized religion , populism, organized religion, and the existence of God.
