The De Vinne Press, NY. The program as well as background of the Central Park statue of Christopher Columbus. Dedicated by the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society whose president was James Grant Wilson, a Civil War Cavalry officer who finished the war as a Bevet Brigadier General. Guest speakers included Wilson and Julia Ward Howe. Vice President Adlai Stevenson unveiled the statue. This copy, #46 of 250 privately printed by Wilson and Cornelius Vanderbilt, was presented to the widow of Civil War General William B. Hazen. The inspcription reads, ďPresented to Mrs. William B. Hazen, With Jas Grant Wilsonís Kindest Regards, New York December, 1894Ē. Mrs Hazen in 1899 married Admiral George Dewey. Good copy of the hard cover first edition. The spine has a tape repair both inside and outside the covers. No dust jacket. 30 pages. Bookseller Inventory # 25230
