This monograph describes the three skeletons of Pliopithecus (Epipliopithecus) vindobonensis that were recovered from a Miocene cave in Neudorf an der March in what was then called Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia). Pliopithecus is an extinct primitive catarrhine primate that lived in Europe and China during the Miocene. This monograph also includes an additional chapter entitled 'Die Primatenfund aus dem Miozan von Klein Hadersdorf in Niederosterreich' which describes additional primate fossils of Pliopithecus collected from the cave of Klein Hadersdorf in Austria.
