Interesting association copy, as former owner name is Philip Drinker, which matches signatures online of the Philip Drinker (1874-1972), as in co-inventor in 1928, with Louis Agassiz Shaw, of the first widely used iron lung; also brother to writer Catherine Drinker Bowen. Drinker was inducted into the National Inventor's Hall of Fame in 2007. Bound in purple cloth-covered boards with black lettering on the front board and spine; top page edges tinted dark gray.
