Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with creased corners and foxing. Hinges and guttering are cracked; front hinge intensely so with exposed netting and loose front endpaper. Binding is loose. Inscription to reverse of title page. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have been heavily rub worn with heavy shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a heavily frayed and spine ends are crushed, with some splits and chips. Some water staining to front, rear and spine. Gilt is slightly dulled.
