Althought the temperance movement in Ireland and the United States is usually associated with the nineteenth century, it is clear from this passionate 1735 Dublin broadside that the movement had it early advocates. Bristol and ESTC record a (presumed) Philadelphia printing of this same broadside, which was found bound in the New York Historical Society's copy of Franklin's Pennsylvania Gazette for 1735-6 -- but ESTC does not record this Dublin printing of 1735.
