Oblong 10 x 16 paper document, patriotic flag-drum-eagle vignette, embossed blue paper seal, folds, toning, spotting, burn holes in bottom margin (with no loss of text, though), appointing Wm. A. McKellip as Judge Advocate on Staff of General Commanding Dept. of Maryland, with rank of Colonel. A bit ragged, but still a nice piece. Two years later he would be elected President; three years later he would be dead. Seller Inventory # 97-5656
