Large quarto. xx, 83, (72)pp. Advance copy of first edition, with a letter from the publisher, an order form, and a prospectus laid-in. An illustrated survey of post-war typography in Europe and the United Sates by Oliver Simon of the Curwen Press and Dr. Julius Rodenburg of the Deutsches Bucherei. Printed at the Curwen Press with an Introduction by Aldous Huxley. Near fine in cloth-backed patterned-paper boards, with a bit of toning to the spine and upper edge and lightly foxed endpapers. Very good printed dust jacket that is split at the rear joint, chipped, toned, and repaired with tape on the inside of the front joint. Top edge blue. Some discolouration and rubbing and wear alon the edges, ex-library so faded library number at the foot of the spine. Hinge sound, small circular library stamps to end papers and preliminary pages and stamped along closed page edges.
