Book Description Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston, 1915. Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good-. No Jacket. Cue, Harold J. (illustrator). First Edition (NAP). Bound in black-stamped gray cloth. First edition, with corresponding 1915 dates to the title and copyright pages and "Published October 1915" beneath the copyright. With a colored frontispiece and three b&w internal illustrations on coated paper, all present. The cloth shows mild edgewear wth the lower front corner just through. The front cover is faintly speckled, and there is a dime-size stain on the rear cover. The spine is slightly darkened, but fully legible. The hinges are solid and binding is square. All contents clean and unmarked. While not listed in Mattson & Davis, this book is actually volume 3 in a short series about two brothers in the Civil War. It is preceded by "The Young Sharpshooter" and "The Young Sharpshooter at Antietam". The books' status has been determined by my direct observation. Size: 12mo - over 6" - 7" tall.
