Since 2007, he has worked as a Defence Scientist at Defence Research and Development Canada - Atlantic Research Centre in Dartmouth, NS, where he is currently the Group Leader for Naval Mine Warfare. Isabelle Quidu was born in Pontivy, France, and received a PhD degree in Electronics from the Universit de Bretagne Occidentale (UBO), France, in 2001. From 2002 to 2005 she worked as research engineer at Thales Underwater Systems in the field of Mine Warfare. Since 2005, she has been an Associate Professor at the ecole Nationale Suprieure de Techniques Avances (ENSTA) Bretagne, Brest, France, and a member of the Ocean Sensing and Mapping (OSM) team. She is also a member of the Lab-STICC (UMR CNRS 6285). Benoit Zerr was born in Belfort, France. He received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Haute Alsace, Mulhouse, France, in 1989. From 1986 to 1994, he was a Research and Development Engineer at Groupe d'etudes Sous-Marines de l'Atlantique (GESMA, DGA, French MoD), Brest, France. From 1995 to 2001, he worked as a Senior Scientist in the NATO Mine Countermeasures group at SACLANT Undersea Research Centre (now called CMRE), La Spezia, Italy. From 2001 to 2008, he returned to GESMA, occupying successively the positions of Head of High Frequency Acoustics Department, Scientific Advisor and National Expert in Mine Countermeasures Sonar Systems. Since 2003, he has been an Associate Researcher at Telecom Bretagne in Brest, France. Since 2009, he has been detached from the French MoD to an academic position at the graduate and postgraduate school of ENSTA Bretagne, teaching electronics and underwater acoustics, and managing the OSM (Ocean Sensing Mapping) team.
